Hey! did you know that Metallica played "Orion" at Cliff Burton's funeral!!?? For those of you that don't know. Cliff was the bassist for Metallica. He joined the band in 1982 and performed on their debut album, Kill 'Em All. Burton also performed on two more Metallica albums, Ride the Lightning as well as Master of Puppets. Sadly he died on a tour bus crash in Sweden in September 27, 1986. (Burton: RIP 1962 - 1986). Thanks for the videos deadskinmask068 :-)

I didn't know they played "Orion" at Cliff's funeral, but I know they haven't play this song since fatal accident until they've met Rob Trujillo. Thanks for comments Sonia.

One of the best's Metallica instrumental songs(maybe the best). They haven't play whole "Orion" since Cliff death because it was favourite Cliff song and he played a large role in the writing of the song. Another thing is Cliff played bass guitar by his fingers like Rob, but Jason do it by pick. By the way there are 2 bass solos in this song that are commonly confused as guitar solos. Thank you for all comments:)
